Zich exists so your life has a private place to live. Here's exactly how we protect it — the short version first, the full legal version right after.
Zich is ad-free and community funded. Your attention isn't the product, and your data isn't for sale.
We collect only what the app needs to work — to connect your circles, and to reach help when it matters.
What you share on Zich is for the people you choose. No strangers, no public profiles, no discovery feed.
Access, update or delete your data — or your whole account — anytime, right from the app.
That's the spirit of it. The complete, legally binding version follows — written to be read, not to hide things.

Zich Home is built to be a private digital home — and a home only works if what happens inside it stays yours. We strive to create a platform that respects user privacy and is bound by the principles of consent. We are ad-free and we don't sell your data. We believe that users have data rights, and we ensure that user data is only collected to enable app functionality, process our services, or meet legal obligations. We are working to build a private and secure platform that anonymizes user information and is fully transparent about its data practices.
No platform can guarantee complete protection against data hacks or cyber attacks, and we cannot provide any guarantee with respect to privacy or data security. If you have any questions, you can contact us at contact@zich.app.
Zich is a mobile application published by Zichverse Pvt. Ltd. on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Zichverse Pvt. Ltd. ("we," "our," or "us") processes personal data of individuals who use our services, including our platform, websites, applications, and other online services (jointly, the "Services"). This Policy also explains your rights and choices about how we use your personal data, including how you can access or update information about you.
In this Policy, "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, such as a name, address, telephone number, or email address.
Zero tolerance for CSAE. At Zich, we have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We strictly prohibit any content, behavior, or user interaction that exploits or endangers minors.
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any visual depiction (photos, videos, illustrations) involving minors in sexual activities or sexualized contexts is strictly forbidden. We remove any reported or detected CSAM immediately and permanently ban the responsible user.
In-app reporting. Users can report any suspicion of CSAE or CSAM directly from the app via the "Report / Feedback" feature, or by contacting contact@zich.app for urgent concerns.
Legal compliance. Upon learning of any CSAM, we take prompt action in accordance with our standards and applicable child protection laws, and we cooperate with relevant law enforcement and child protection authorities.
Child safety contact. For child safety concerns, abuse reports, or notifications (including from Google Play), reach out to our dedicated Child Safety Officer — Zich Admin, contact@zich.app.
We may monitor our Services for violations of these terms, and we may take appropriate action against anyone who, in our judgment, violates the law or these terms — including refusing or restricting access to our Services, and taking other action aimed at protecting our rights or property or the proper functioning of our Services.
Depending on where you're located, we only process your personal data based on a valid legal ground. The table below describes our purposes and the corresponding legal grounds.
| Purpose | Description | Legal ground |
|---|---|---|
| Reaching your circle in an emergency | Delivering your alerts — with your location — to the trusted contacts you chose, and connecting calls between you. | Necessary for performance of a contract with you; vital interests where life or safety is at stake |
| Communicating with you | Providing updates, responding to your questions, and offering customer support. | Necessary for performance of a contract with you |
| Preventing fraud | Protecting against and prosecuting fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity. | Legitimate interest in preventing fraud |
| Safety | Safeguarding our platform and ensuring security. | Legitimate interest in security and safety |
| Technical support | Diagnosing and resolving issues you report. | Necessary for performance of a contract with you |

Our Services are hosted in South Korea. If you use our Services from another jurisdiction — including India, where Zichverse is registered — your personal data is transferred outside of your jurisdiction for storage and processing. Data protection laws where the data is held may differ from those where you live.
We delete personal data, or de-identify it, once it's no longer necessary for the purposes we collected it for, unless we're required or permitted by law to retain it longer. We consider the type of service, the length of our relationship with you, and any applicable legal retention requirements.
You can delete your account from inside the app — Settings › Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, your circle, your alerts, conversations, messages, notes, reminders, feed posts, call history and uploaded files, along with the record of your phone number created when you first tried to sign in. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
One thing deletion cannot reach: messages you sent to other people remain visible in their copy of the conversation, as they would with any messaging app.
Our Services may link to third-party websites, products, or services we don't own or operate. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, and this Policy doesn't apply to your activity on their platforms. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Access is enforced per record in the database, so one account cannot read another's data. Because no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, we can't guarantee absolute security, to the extent permitted by law.
We want to be straightforward about one thing: messages in Zich are not end-to-end encrypted today. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, but we hold the keys, which means we could technically access them. We are building end-to-end encryption; until it ships, please don't assume otherwise.
We may periodically update this Policy. If changes are significant, we'll notify you in advance or as required by law.
Our grievance officer, as required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, is Nilanjan Das, reachable at contact@zich.app. We respond within 30 days.
Zichverse Pvt. Ltd. is registered at Azad Colony, Bhatta Bazar, Purnia, Bihar 854301, India.
